Welcome to our NEW website promoting the chess playing girls of Barnet.

Teams

Whilst Barnet has teams at Under 9 and Under 11, where girls have the opportunity to participate, there are also opportunities for girls to play chess without boys being around.

Barnet runs a very successful Under 11 Girls team, which came 1st in last years National Finals. The team manager, Angela Eyton, is always looking for new players to join the team. More information can be obtained from angela@barnetknights.com

Chess can be played on an individual level or as part of a team. There are inter school competitions, where the team must comprise only of girls. Barnet runs an inter-school chess league, where girls only schools regularly compete against mixed schools. For details on any of the above please contact Angela on angela@barnetknights.com

Barnet Knights is a chess club where players in school years 6 and below can receive training and play competitive games. Please visit www.barnetknights.com for more information.

Whilst Barnet has a history of success in Girls competitions, we do not rest on our laurels. We are always looking to promote Girls Chess within Barnet and always looking for new players. You are never too young to start playing chess and there is always an opponent, for you, at your level. If you require any further information please contact Angela.
